Irish stars continued to dazzle on the award circuit tonight, as Paul Mescal, Elaine Cassidy and more attended the 43rd annual London Critics' Circle Film Awards, alongside Florence Pugh, Cate Blanchett and other A-listers.

The London Critics' Circle Film Awards honours excellence in film each year, with a number of special and honorary awards presented each year.

Martin McDonagh's The Banshees of Inisherin led the nominations with nine nods, including Film of the Year, Director of the Year, Screenwriter of the Year (both for Martin McDonagh), and acting nominations for Farrell, Gleeson, and supporting actors Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan.

It picked up five of those awards, with McDonagh attending the event to represent the rest of the cast, looking dapper in an all-black look.

Charlotte Wells' Aftersun, starring Paul Mescal, wasn't far behind, and Colm Bairéad's An Cailín Ciúin tied for Foreign Language Film with Park Chan-wook's noir thriller Decision to Leave.

Mescal attended the event wearing a sleek black suit, featuring a classic double breasted jacket. He paired it with a timeless white shirt and black tie.

The Wonder stars Elaine Cassidy and daughter Kila Lord Cassidy also attended the event in dazzling outfits styled by Corina Gaffey. Elaine oozed Old Hollywood elegance in a red column dress by Rebecca Vallance, and paired it with black strappy heels by Irish designer Nicki Hoyne.

Kila, meanwhile, wore a dramatic pink embellished dress by Sister Jane, which featured a sheer bib detail. She paired it with bang-on-trend Mary Jane shoes.

Co-star Florence Pugh continued to cement her status as a fashion icon, wearing an architectural two-piece ensemble by Robert Wun. She paired a structured satin bustier with a striking pleated peplum hem – another sign that the mid-noughties trend is on the way back.

She completed the look with a sleek column skirt, and added a whimsical note with a matching red fedora accented with a feather and a red tulle veil.

Everything, Everywhere, All at Once stars Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan also attended the event, with Yeoh standing out in a sheer organza tuxedo-style gown, with voluminous sleeves and a cinched-in waist. Quan looked elegant in a black tuxedo and black bow tie.

Tár leading lady Cate Blanchett stood out in an Alexander McQueen ensemble, wearing a black jacket accented with voluminous blue satin sleeves.
