The stars assembled for the 28th annual Critics' Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 15.
Taking place in the Fairmont Century Plaza, and hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler, the event recognises excellence in cinema and television, with awards handed out for Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and more, all chosen by the more than 600 members who make up the CCA.

A host of famous faces made an appearance on the night, including Lily James and Anya Taylor-Joy, both of whom dazzled in ballerina-inspired gowns by Oscar de la Renta and Christian Dior respectively.
Monochrome outfits were as popular as ever, with stars like Jennifer Coolidge, Angela Bassett and Natasha Lyonne looked elegant in a variety of black gowns.

Julia Roberts brought some sparkle to her black gown in a starburst design by Schiaparelli, while Daisy Edgar-Jones wowed in a shimmering Gucci cut-out gown.
Claire Foy and Michelle Yeoh brought some pops of colour to the red carpet, as Foy stunned in a blue tea dress by Prada and Yeoh looked glamorous in pink Carolina Herrera.

As for menswear, there was the usual mix of classic black suits, with some guys opting for bold colours and designs. Paul Dano wore a bejewelled blue suit by Dolce & Gabbana, while Johnny Knoxville went all out in a pale green outfit.
Irish talent will continue to be highlighted as many are in the running for awards for The Banshees of Inisherin and more. The celebrated film is up for Best Picture, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Screenplay and Best Comedy. Martin McDonagh is nominated for Best Director.
Colin Farrell is nominated for Best Actor, Kerry Condon is nominated for Best Supporting Actress and both Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan are nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
Paul Mescal is also nominated for Best Actor for his standout turn in Charlotte Wells' Aftersun.
Sharon Horgan's series Bad Sisters is nominated for Best Drama Series, while Horgan herself is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series.

Domhnall Gleeson is nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for his role in The Patient.
