Shopping online is practically all we know at this stage, and the call to refresh our wardrobes is stronger than ever as we finally head into summer. Of course, you can always buy secondhand or shop in your own closet if sustainability is on your mind, but if you're looking to invest, why not support Irish creators while you're at it?

There are countless Irish clothes and accessories designers who have taken the social media platform and turned it into digital ateliers. So whether you're looking for new athleisurewear or statement bags, or thinking about dipping your toe into the Y2K trend, here are some Irish designers knocking out of the park – all just one click away on your feed.

Named for the Irish word for "left", clé is designer Aoife Stapleton's love letter to left-handedness and proof that the awkwardness that can come with being left-handed in a predominantly right-handed world can create something beautiful.

Inspired by Stapleton's youth in the Irish countryside and featuring bold, saturated colours, each pair of earrings are handmade in her Westport studio using polymer clay and sterling eco silver. All pieces also come in a recycled cardboard gift box. The Out Out design above costs €40.

To Dye For by Johanna

We can never have enough loungewear at this point, and we've fallen for these pastel tie-dye designs by . Billed as the perfect sets for hungover days, grocery runs or duvet days alike, these matching co-ords are made from 80% cotton and come in pastel pinks and purples, or rich blue.

The sets are currently on pre-order for €60 for the pink set and €75 for the blue, meaning they only produce what's already ordered, minimising waste. Check out the full range of t-shirts, socks and more on their Instagram.

Despite only graduating from NCAD in 2020, Fi Carroll has carved a niche for herself with her glamorous and sustainable designs. Using handmade embroidery, unwanted wedding dresses and other reclaimed treasures, Carroll's pieces are equal parts bold and wearable. We especially love her hand-painted silk ruffle taffeta handbags and lavender lace gloves.

Miss She's Got Knits

Sure, it's not sweater weather anymore, but you'd find an excuse to wear these stunning oversized jumpers by Karen Birney, who started her business during the pandemic. Knit by hand, her pieces come in a range of styles including The Big Sleeve, The Big Cardi and The Big Pink. We love the pops of bright colour and sweet details like hearts on the sleeve.

Once you commission a jumper, it'll take between 4-6 weeks so this isn't fast fashion, but the end result is a jumper that is guaranteed to stop people in the street. Prices vary by commission, but you can contact Karen directly to tease out the details.

Nádúr Ceramics

Nádúr means "nature" in Irish, so it's no surprise that natural beauty runs through this entire brand. Founded by Orla, each piece is inspired by the landscapes, sea, rock formations, weather systems, plants, and animals of Ireland, the clay imprinted with foraged flowers, leaves and twigs and then painted.

The collection is updated at the start of each month with new lovingly crafted pieces, and we're currently coveting the Flora2 necklace, pictured above, which costs €30.

Fresh Cuts

Hands down one of the coolest Insta spaces out there, Fresh Cuts have nailed their curation of striking t-shirts, runners, hoodies and more. While many will flock to their page to pick up sustainable brands like Girlfriend Collective and MUD, their own range of clothes is just as chic and sustainable.

We're loving the Fresh Noodles t-shirt, pictured above, which costs €29.95.

Tipsy Hypsie

Traditional crafts have boomed in popularity in the last year, as more shoppers seek out items that are handmade, local and with a connection to heritage crafts. Which is why Tipsy Hypsie's resin designs are looking so good to us right now.

Made in Waterford using resin and preserved fresh flowers such as lilac, daisies, ferns and more, these striking designs are just the thing to dress up your casual basics. The Preserved Real Lilac Larkspur Flower earrings, pictured above, cost €22.

Design Wright

Purveyors of all things cool and quaint, with a strong streak of cheesy nostalgia, Design Wright has won the hearts of many Instagram users thanks to their Guinness earrings, colourful prints and, yes, the Michael D Higgins t-shirt.

Headed up by Megan Wright, you can find everything from posters calling out rape culture to totes emblazoned with Dolly Parton's face (€14, pictured above), but we've been coveting a tie-dye Guinness tee for ages now.

The Foxx Sisters

We're always on the look out for new protective face masks, and we'd be lying if we said the above design didn't instantly catch our attention.

Founded by sisters Becca and Lorraine Fox, their brand specialises in handmade designs, from iridescent teal skirts to hot pink corsets, which are bang on trend. They also have an incredible range of face masks for both adults and children. The Booby face mask costs €10.

Begley and Bowie

Homesick for the coffee shops of Ranelagh, the seaside in Dingle or just very, very smug to live in Stoneybatter? No matter what your source of pride, there's probably a Begley and Bowie jumper for you.

Founded in 2019, Begley and Bowie has gone from strength to strength, combining simple bold lettering with striking colours and becoming a hit with celebs such as Amy Huberman. We love the pops of neon that make them really stand out. Their classic slogan sweatshirt (above) costs €90.

MASH Jewellery

Designed by Ashlin Reddie, MASH specialises in bold clay earrings, all handmade in Dublin. If the avant basic trend is calling your name – think geometric prints in striking colours, paired with pastel or neutral separates – this is the shop for you.

Coming in a range of dazzling colour ways, we love these bright and modern designs, especially the Ocean Droplets style above, which cost €14 but are sadly sold out.

Rudies and Co.

They say keep what you love close to your heart, and if what you love is chicken fillet rolls or swear words, we have a brand for you.

Designed and imprinted in the heart of Stoneybatter, Rudies and Co specialise in immortalising the filthiest words (or junk food) in the most beautiful delicate jewellery. You can choose from a range of salacious slogans, or commission a custom piece. The Chicken Fillet Roll, a 16k gold-plated pendant on a gold-plated chain, costs €18.

Baile

We're always on the lookout for comfy sweaters to throw over leggings, dresses or pyjamas just before a Zoom call, and we're loving Baile's simple but classic take on the sweater. Proudly Irish to the core, their designs come in a range of subtle colours and are emblazoned with Irish words.

Native Denim

Delicate stackable jewellery never goes out of fashion, and we're always looking for new shapes and designs to add to our collection.

We love TO:MI's striking pieces that take inspiration from the Irish sea, heartbeats and even the moulded silhouette of croissants. Prices start as low as €15, and the Gold Circle Ring (pictured above) costs €25.

Oh noO

If you haven't heard already, corsets are the new "nice top" to wear with jeans, as the cottagecore-inspired trend has swept TikTok and Instagram alike. The mother and daughter duo behind Oh noO designs have wasted no time in jumping into the mix, creating stunning feminine corsets in sweet patterns.

Made using vintage, preloved and upcycled materials, the designs are sustainable as well as charming. Corsets cost €25 and can be found on their Depop too.

Primrose and Fern

Barretts have been under-appreciated for years, but are now becoming one of the hottest accessories of the season. If you're looking to add a sweet and nostalgic note to your outfits, look no further than Primrose and Fern's bold designs.

Also following in the avant basic trend, their barretts come in a range of cute and playful patterns, from geometric prints to clouds. Made from polymer clay, these are made in small batches so be quick when snapping them up. The lilac cow print design (pictured above) costs €9.

Wild Éire

Proving that you can always make today's 'fits out of last years trends, Wild Éire has been knocking it out of the park with their repurposed designs.

Using preloved athleisure sets to create daring and bold co-ords, tops and more, their designs nail the current trend for lettuce leaf tops, string bras and distressed cardigans. New collections drop throughout the year, so keep and eye on their Instagram for the latest designs. Reworked tops like the one above typically cost between €40 and €45.

Aoife Mc Namara

If you're looking to invest in some statement event wear for weddings, birthdays or just when we can hit the town again, make like Roz Purcell and check out Aoife McNamara.

Specialising in sleek separates such as tailored trousers, corsets, cropped vintage-inspired blazers and more, McNamara's designs are classic and elegant, while also feeling fresh and fun. The Fresh Sunshine Blue corset (pictured above) costs €240.

Bean an Tees

A firm favourite among celebs like Sinead Burke, Bean an Tees have nailed the cosy jumper, while also making them look fresh and modern.

Coming in a range of soft pastel shades, each jumper features an empowering Irish slogan, such as "Bean Fiain" meaning "Wild Woman" or "Bean an Tí", meaning "Woman of the House". Each sweater costs €45.
