Menswear has evolved and improved in recent years, and has often led to headline-making looks, more so than the typical flowing gowns and sparkling jewels worn by female attendees. This year's Golden Globes were no different, as the guys showed up and showed out.
The Golden Globes returned to the award season circuit tonight, with its first televised in-person ceremony since before the outbreak of Covid-19.

Hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael, the 80th Golden Globe Awards are set to honor talent in film and American television, as chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
Widely seen as the first major awards event of the year, the star-studded ceremony will give some of the world's biggest names a chance to set the fashion trends for the year to come.
As menswear options have expanded, so do has the boldness of some male attendees, as we now see more guys making brave fashion choices. Colour has become more common in tailoring, such as our own Barry Keoghan's pale blue Louis Vuitton suit, worn with chunky black shoes and a loose matching blue bow tie.

Seth Rogen also opted for a dazzling pastel outfit from Dior, looking sensational in a pale pink suit and cummerbund, paired with a baby pink shirt
Severence's Adam Scott went for a rich jewel tone with his suit, wearing a forest green version complete with a black cummerbund and a thin black neck tie.

Eddie Redmayne went for a tonal look in a soft brown Valentino look, pairing a brown jacket and trousers with a matching sheer t-shirt. Andrew Garfield borrowed his retro colour palette from the 70s, looking slick in a burnt orange suit paired with a black shirt and tie.
Even the more traditional colour palette of black and white got an update in the form of Donald Glover's louche white pyjama style suit by Saint Laurent, with a loose smoking-jacket style shirt, flowing trousers and a classic black tuxedo jacket on top.

Colman Domingo went for glamour in an embellished black tuxedo, paired with a black shirt and matching bow tie, while Austin Butler. Domhnall Gleeson and Taron Egerton wore classic black tuxedos in a range of styles.

And then as always, there's Billy Porter. The Pose star and singer never fails to disappoint with his extravagant award show looks, and tonight's was no different as he stepped out in a vibrant magenta velvet tuxedo dress featuring satin lapels, a cinched waist and a flowing train.
