Awards season is gearing up for another year, bringing with it a host of glamorous events and red carpet inspiration. One such event was The National Board of Review 2023 Awards Gala, which took place in New York City on Sunday.
A number of Irish stars were among the guests at this year's gala, which has been running since 1929. the Board of Review itself has existed since 1909, when a group of select industry insiders and critics would discuss and judge each year's best cinematic works.
The awards celebrate excellence in filmmaking, with awards handed out in categories like Best Director, Best Picture, Best Original and Adapted Screenplay and more.

The gala was a dazzling event, attended by the likes of Sienna Miller, Janelle Monae, Michelle Yeoh and more.
Miller wore a sweet and flirty gown by Alessandra Rich featuring a delicate floral pattern and a silver boho-inspired belt, while Monae wore a dramatic black gown with cut-outs and sheer voluminous sleeves by Valentino. Yeoh looked regal in an Erdem gown featuring a peplum skirt paired with a white lace top.
Irish star Jessie Buckley also walked the red carpet, looking fierce in a Schiaparelli SS23 ready-to-wear outfit that perfectly suited her edgy style. The Men star looked fabulous in a retro-inspired outfit, wearing an oversized leather-look jacket with voluminous sleeves, and accented with square gold buttons.
She paired this with wide-legged black pleated trousers with more gold accents on the waist. She styled it with gold-capped boots and an edgy hairstyle.

Kerry Condon, the star of The Banshees of Inisherin, also walked the red carpet on the night, looking dazzling in a Prada column gown. She wore an elegant gown from the brand's SS23 ready-to-wear collection that featured a watercolour motif in shades of grey and beige and a sleek bandeau neckline.
She accessorised it with a selection of Briony Raymond necklaces and wore her blonde hair in a loose up do, with curled tendrils framing her face.
