With a host of new faces, as well as a brand new co-host in Doireann Garrihy, this season is sure to be spectacular.

As Dancing with the Stars 2023 kicks off, we're chatting with celebrity stylist Fiona Fagan to find out what hosts Jennifer Zamparelli and Doireann Garrihy will be wearing, as well as the hottest trends of the season.

Originally from Dublin, Fiona Fagan started her career as a dancer before transitioning to become a fit model - someone that fashion designers use to check the fit and appearance of a design - which eventually led her to styling.

Having spent the past two decades years living in London, Fagan has created quite the portfolio for herself. Her celebrity clients include Frankie Bridge of The Saturdays, Glenda Gilson, and the late Caroline Flack, who she styled for Love Island.

So there could be no better woman when it comes to dressing our two dazzling hosts. She promises to bring unique and stunning looks that pull from everything from trends to iconic looks.

Speaking about being back in the studio after two years of pandemic restrictions, she said, "It feels absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is so much different because you can actually see everyone's face. We've no masks!"

"It's just a bit freer, there's loads of great energy, new presenter, that brings a new flavour to it. That's great for me because I get to dress two fabulous women!"

As for what those fabulous women are wearing on the big night, Fagan stressed how different their styles are, saying: "Doireann is quite different to Jen so I wanted to differentiate them both.

"Doireann is kind of that funkier vibe, she likes really short, sassy dresses so we're trying to keep her in that kind of realm, whereas Jen is the more glam, kind of slink. Their bodies are both amazing, they're really easy to dress and it's really exciting having two girls because I get to be really creative. It's fun!"

For tonight's show, Jen wore a dress by the brand Rhode, the Jemima Embellished Maxi Dress, which Fagan describes as a "slinky, silver number".

"We're using jewellery from One Dame Lane, an Irish jewellery brand. She has shoes from Carvela, which got sent over to us from the UK which is really good".

Doireann, meanwhile, is wearing a lacy one-shouldered mini dress, the Kelsey Mini Dress, by Rebecca Vallance and Carvela shoes and One Dame Lane jewellery as well.

It's just a taste of what's to come, however, as Fagan said she has big plans for switching up the fashion on this year's show. "The first show I have them in two really fab designers that I really like myself. I want to start with a bang.

"I want to a rent/hire week, which I think would be really good. There's so many amazing shops in Ireland now you can rent from that have brilliant dresses and it's a really good way to try and be sustainable. We might rework a dress again, you never know!

"We're borrowing from some English brands, which is really good. Trying to get some more Irish brands in there. Just trying to balance it all out and try and do something different each week."

As for what she herself is loving, you can trust that Fagan will always have her finger on the pulse of what's in and what's out. She's loving Jacquemus, the go-to designer whose looks have been worn by everyone from Bella Hadid to Pamela Anderson.

"Looking at the catwalk now and what's going on, silver's coming through a lot. Military, military pants but in a dressier way with a heel and a blazer, love that kind of look. We've got some really nice brands we're going to use for this show so you'll have to keep posted each week!"
