The GQ Men of the Year Awards took place last night, lighting up London's Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park.

Now in its 25th year, the annual event pays tribute to the men and women who are leaders in style, including stars from design and politics, to entertainment and sport.

The ceremony was an especially glamorous one, with cover stars Andrew Garfield, Sydney Sweeney, Jack Harlow, Stormzy and more dazzling onlookers with their looks. Rather than present awards, as it has in previous years, the magazine instead gave a series of toasts to the honorees.

Paul Mescal made a suave appearance, reuniting with his Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones on the red carpet. The After Sun star looked dapper in a dark grey pinstripe suit, which he wore with a pale aqua shirt accented with a matching tie, left loose around his neck.

He accessorised his outfit with black shoes and a shimmering gold chain.

Sharon Horgan also walked the red carpet on the night, looking elegant in a cream suit, worn with a textured cream top, layers of necklaces and a striking blue and gold belt.

The Irish contingent were joined with other Hollywood stars such as Salma Hayek, who walked the red carpet in a shimmering scarlet corset dress by Vivenne Westwood, featuring her trademark bustier and draped train.

Edgar-Jones wore a slinky sequinned gown by Gucci which featured a gold and silver Chevron print mini dress overlayed with black tulle.

Supermodel Jourdan Dunn wore an oversized white suit, while Candice Swanepoel also opted for tailoring in a pinstripe suit paired with a loose white shirt.
