After years of creating some of the greatest red carpet and on-stage outfits to hit our Instagram feeds, Harry Styles and Gucci have made their fashion love affair official by collaborating on an original capsule collection.

Gucci HA HA HA was unveiled during the fashion house's menswear shows in Milan, and is already setting the fashion world on fire.

Described as "a collection born from a creative relationship that self-generates from amusement and ends with the tangibility of a product", the collection features a mix of sleek, retro-inspired English tailoring, bright colours, bold and whimsical prints and elegant accessories – all hallmarks of Styles' recent looks.

Styles has been moving the dial in the fashion world for years now, arguably hitting his stride at the 2019 Met Gala when he walked the red carpet with Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele wearing super high waisted pleated trousers and a Victorian-inspired sheer blouse.

He built on this extravagant and expressive style with his next album, Fine Line, which featured him in a vibrant pink shirt and white trousers. The music videos for this album also developed his flamboyant sense of style.

Styles made headlines when he appeared on the cover of Vogue wearing a black tuxedo jacket and blue lace dress, both by Gucci.

More recently, the star dazzled crowds at this year's Coachella festival in California by wearing multiple outfits by Gucci, including a hot pink feathered coat and a sequin jumpsuit. His concert outfits have become just as fashionable, as he takes the stage in evermore opulent and eye-catching ensembles.

Style's collaboration with Michele, however, dates as far back to 2015, when the then-One Direction star walked the American Music Awards red carpet in a striking and romantic floral suit by Gucci, from Michele's spring/summer 2016 collection.

"Harry has an incredible sense of fashion," Michele said in a statement about the collaboration. "The idea of working together came to me one day while we were talking on the phone: I proposed creating a 'dream wardrobe' with him… We ended up with a mix of aesthetics, from 1970s pop and bohemia to the revision of the image of the gentleman in an overturned memory of men’s tailoring,"

The name of the collection is also a sweet nod to the pair's creative relationship. "Over many years, one motif has recurred in their conversations: 'hahaha"', the fashion house said on Instagram.
