Love it or hate it, reality TV show Love Island has become a pop culture sensation over the past number of years, with viewers across Ireland and the UK tuning in six nights a week every summer to watch a group of 20-somethings scramble to find their one true love... and a cash prize.

Now in its eight series, the seductive show will once again be hosted by Irish TV presenter Laura Whitmore.

The Bray woman will be at the helm of the show as islanders do their best to flirt, kiss, and couple up - all while avoiding putting their eggs in one basket and being 'dumped' from the villa.

With heart-to-hearts and broken hearts at the centre of each episode, it's no surprise that our stylish host often dresses to suit her surroundings.

To kick off another incredible year of cracking on, Whitmore chose a repurposed red suit with heart-shaped detailing by designer Joshua Kane that she first wore on the show in 2020.

The British designer, who specialises in bespoke pieces, is a favourite of the presenters who wore one of his chic white designs for her wedding to Love Island narrator Iain Stirling.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Love Island would be stepping back from their fast fashion partnerships in order to work with eBay, giving contestants access to a pre-loved wardrobe in the villa.

If this first episode is anything to go by, it seems that Whitmore is happy to follow suit.

According to Instagram, Laura and her tailor Mika got the scissors out in order to revamp the romantic look, transforming the red trousers into some summery shorts which they paired with the matching red waistcoat.

Styled as always by the fabulous Emma Lane, the cherry on top of Laura's loved-up look were an impressive pair of platform heels with red ribbon ties and love heart detailing.

The look was completed with a red heart ring, some love heart nail art, and a bold red lip applied by make-up artist Tori Ball.

Love Island airs on ITV2.
