Honouring the most spectacular performances on the silver screen since 1929, the Oscars are one of the most star-studded and prestigious events on the Hollywood calendar.
This year, the world's most glamorous stars will swarm the the Dolby Theatre in the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday, March 27, 2022 for the 94th Academy Awards.
While the gowns and the beauty looks typically snatch the headlines, menswear at the Oscars has become one of the most exciting parts of following the awards. Armed with ambitious stylists, the guys have been giving the gals a run for their money, and this year's ceremony was no different.
Arguably the strongest look on the red carpet was that of fashion darling Timothée Chalamet, who returned to claim his crown as one of the most daring celebrities when it comes to fashion.

Bringing back the Interview With the Vampire aesthetic, he walked the red carpet in a custom Louis Vuitton suit, pairing a cropped sequinned black jacket edged with black lace at the cuffs and hem. He finished the look with high waisted black trousers.
A shirt, you ask? Timothée Chalamet evolved beyond the need for shirts years ago, so all he paired his ensemble with was some silver necklaces.
And you thought the endurance of the crop top was an unfair fashion expectation set by celebs, but at least it's not a "bib".
Not far behind was Internet sensation Rickey Thompson, who dropped jaws in a GCDS FW22 ensemble, featuring a black velvet cowl-necked cape, flared trousers and sparkling body jewellery on his torso that resembled ribs.

Travis Barker gave the classic black suit a refresh as well, wearing an oversized style by Maison Margiela, featuring slouchy trousers and a structured double breasted blazer, worn over a black mock neck top. He added some pizzaz with a diamond broach on one wide lapel.

Jason Momoa went all-black in a classic black tuxedo worn with a black shirt along with a blue and yellow pocket square in support of Ukraine, while our own Jamie Dornan chose a longline double breasted black blazer and wide-legged trousers.

Kenneth Branagh and Ciarán Hinds both went for navy suits, with Branagh choosing a three-piece look, while Hinds went understated in a classic tux.

Pastels reigned on the red carpet, led by The Power of the Dog nominee Kodi Smit-McPhee who looked runway-ready in a full powder blue look.

He wore a Bottega Veneta double breasted suit with satin lapels, worn over a matching blue shirt and chunky blue boots. He enhanced his look with dazzling diamond accessories from Cartier, including a diamond choker necklace.

Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra turned heads in a full pale pink tuxedo by Moschino, featuring tails, a textured shirt and classic tuxedo trousers. He paired it with a black bow tie, which popped against the pale pink, and black and pink loafers.

Elsewhere, rich and opulent shades and designs added a touch of classic Hollywood glamour. Andrew Garfield led the pack in a stunning deep red double breasted velvet blazer by Saint Laurent, which he paired with a black shirt with pussy bow detail and black tuxedo trousers.

Wesley Snipes went for a fresh take on red carpet fashion, wearing a custom Givenchy ensemble featuring satin shorts, shirt, jacket and leggings, all in a rich burgundy shade.
