The stars hit the red (well, blue) carpet once again tonight for the Independent Spirit Awards, held in Los Angeles.
The glitzy awards ceremony is the primary awards event for the independent film and television community, and is hotly anticipated each year. Last year's ceremony was virtual, making this year's event particularly special.
Marking it even more as an alternative take on the awards show, the ceremony takes place in a beachside tent, steps from the sand and surf in Santa Monica. Despite the beachy setting, stars still dress to impress and tonight's event was no different.

Kristen Stewart, the star of Spencer, was also named the Honorary Chair of the awards this year, so she walked the blue carpet with even more glamour than usual. She wore a striking black and white jumpsuit made from delicate white lace edged with contrasting black, by Chanel.

Lily James, the star of Pam and Tommy, looked radiant in a chic two-piece by Del Core, pairing a pale pink cropped bustier with voluminous sleeves with high-waisted baggy black trousers.

Black was, as always, a popular shade on the blue carpet but stars got adventurous with silhouettes and designs. Daisy Edgar Jones chose a daring cut-out gown by Nensi Dojaka, featuring a fitted bra top, spaghetti straps and a sheer gown.

Icon of the moment Julia Fox, similarly, opted for a slinky satin gown from No Sesso with a risque cut-out on one hip and a one-shoulder silhouette, paired with a simple black bra.

Maggie Gyllenhaal brought dark florals into spring with a bold patterned suit by Gucci, while comedian and actress Bridget Everett donned a striking orange satin mini dress.

It wasn't just the women bringing pops of colour to the event though, as director Taika Waititi wore a dazzling peach-hued suit, while Andrew Garfield wore a dramatic purple suit by Valentino.
