Irish stars are taking over the red carpet, and last night saw our own Laura Whitmore turn heads as she attended the Vanity Fair and Bafta EE Rising Star party in London last night.

The Love Island presenter mingled with celebs at The Strand in London, where the annual bash celebrated performers who have shown outstanding talent on the big screen within the past year. The EE Rising Star Award is one of the most coveted awards of the Baftas.

For the occasion, Laura chose a flirty black and white mini dress by Australian designed Rachel Glibert, who is known for her glamorous and contemporary evening and bridal wear.

Styled by Emma Lane as always, she wore the Kace Mini Dress in black, a strapless crepe dress with an oversized white organza bow on the bust and off the shoulder, which costs $790 AUD.

Keeping it simple, she accessorised with a pair of shimmering Jimmy Choo platform heels, with an open toe and delicate ankle strap, that added to her tall frame. She kept the look minimal, wearing just a gold chain pendant and neat gold hoops on her ears.

Her makeup, however, was bold and powerful, and classically Laura. Painted by makeup artist Tori Ball, Laura wore a bold red lip that complemented her striking blue eyes and golden tan perfectly. She kept the look clean and elegant, with subtly sculpted brows, a soft wash of blush on her cheeks and fluttery eyelashes coated in mascara.

Continuing the classic beauty look. Laura's hair was styled into a deep side part, with one side tucked behind an ear and the other waved into perfection and falling over one shoulder.
