It was only Sunday night that Caitríona Balfe was walking the red carpet at the Screen Actors' Guild Awards in a vivid scarlet gown, and it seems for the glamorous actress there's no rest during awards season.
Balfe made yet another red carpet appearance last night at the 5th annual Hollywood Critics Association awards, where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress alongside Belfast co-stars Jamie Dornan and Ciarán Hinds, who were both nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

The Outlander star swapped her stunning Saint Laurent ballgown for a romantic and elegant ensemble by Irish designer Simone Rocha.
Styled, as always, by famed celebrity stylist Karla Welch, Balfe wore a dreamy look by the Irish designer, dazzling in an intricate white lace midi-length gown with heavy embroidery.
She gown featured sheer layers of fabric edged with pearls and creamy white satin ribbons, a fitted bust edged with pearls and gems and a satin bodice. She styled this feminine look with a masculine black blazer, creating a perfect contrast between the two.

She accessorised the ensemble with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels, an open-toe sandal with heavy pearl and crystal beading on the ankle strap and foot strap. For a final romantic touch, she added a black pouch bag fringed with shimmering crystals, with a lone sunflower stuck into it, adding a pop of bright colour to the otherwise understated outfit.

For some sparkle, she wore jewellery by Anita Ko, while her hair was styled to loose and romantic perfection by Gareth Bromell. With a deep side parting and relaxed waves, pinned on one side with simple hair pins, it was a balanced style for the opulent outfit.
Finally, her makeup was done by Mary Wiles, with the artist creating a soft and feminine look, with a nude lip and glowing skin.
