Kristen Stewart is among the stars who have taken to the red carpet at the premiere of the Diana, Princess of Wales biopic Spencer.
The actress, who plays Diana in the film, was pictured wearing a strapless grey Chanel dress at the event in London on Thursday.
Described by the fashion house as a "modern muse", Stewart has been a Chanel ambassador for eight years now, first starring in a Paris-Dallas 2013/2014 Métiers d'art campaign.
Soon after, she became the face of the Gabrielle Chanel fragrance and even played Coco Chanel herself when former creative director Karl Lagerfeld cast the young actress in his short film, Once and Forever, which screened in Rome at the presentation of the 2015/2016 Métiers d’art collection, for which Kristen was also the face.
With a smattering of tattoos and and bleached hair, the 31-year-old brings a youthful edge to the long-standing brand.
Styled by Tara Swennen for the premiere, the California native paired the dress (inspired by Look 22 of Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2018) with some strappy metallic heels, and a black and diamond rose ring with white gold band from Chanel's Camélia line.
Spencer tells the story of a weekend in the early 1990s when Diana joined the royal family for Christmas.
Directed by Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larrain, it imagines what might have happened over those few days, when her marriage to the Prince of Wales has gone cold but she is still obliged to join the family festivities.
The film’s UK premiere took place at the Royal Festival Hall as part of the BFI London Film Festival ahead of its release in the UK and Ireland on November 5.
Stewart posed for pictures with Jacki Nielen, who plays the Duke of Cambridge in the film, and Freddie Spry, who plays the Duke of Sussex.
Others cast in the film, which is written by Peaky Blinders’ creator Steven Knight, include Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins and Sean Harris.
