We all knew Ruth Negga was an acting chameleon, shapeshifting into all kinds of roles. But it turns out she's a style chameleon too, as her recent red carpet looks prove.
The Irish beauty has been dazzling on the red carpet lately, wowing in a vintage emerald green velvet gown for a museum opening in Los Angeles last week, and her latest look is another to add to the list.

As comfortable in a modern structured suit as she is in a romantic and dramatic gown, Negga never fails to take our breath away with her outfits. Styled by Karla Welch – one of the go-to stylists in Hollywood and stylist to Lorde, Hailey Bieber and more – Negga's look has evolved into one of the most daring and unexpected looks in Hollywood.
The Irish star stepped out in New York City for the premiere of her new film Passing, which debuted at New York Film Festival. And if it was Old Hollywood glamour for LA, it was edgy drama for New York, as Negga wowed in a belted leather trench coat dress by Alexander McQueen.

Featuring an asymmetric hem, wide lapels, structured shoulders and long sleeves, Negga wore the trench on its own, cinched at the waist with a large gold-accented belt. She paired it with a pair of bright red heeled boots by Schutz and a statement gold ring.
Adding to the punk-inspired look, Negga's hair was styled into a sleek bun, with a blunt fringe adding to the edgy ensemble. She wore a dark red lipstick, which matched her red nails, as well as a contoured eye and lashings of bronzer.
But that wasn't her only head-turning ensemble of the day, as earlier she had worn a striking look by Tory Burch, also styled by Karla Welch. Pairing a patterned purple and blue maxi skirt with a black turtleneck top, a metallic belt and the red Schutz boots, Negga looked every inch the movie star.
