Culture Night is a nationwide burst of cultural energy that celebrates the people who make up the breadth and diversity of Ireland's cultural landscape - the sixteenth edition will take place on Friday 17 September 2021.

Whether you're interested in dance and music or comedy and theatre, there's a little something for everyone on Culture Night.

For the fashion lovers, though, there are some especially exciting events happening across the country...

The Fumbally Stables in Dublin’s historic Liberties hosts a demo from The Liberties Weavers, a community group dedicated to bringing weaving back to the Liberties. In former days the Liberties was at the heart of Ireland's textile production and we want to see it a thriving textile hub in the future. Pop in and learn about various weaving techniques, have a chat about weaving in The Liberties and learn why there are no cows in Cow Parlour.

If textiles are your area of interest, Mountmellick Embroidery Museum in Co. Laois joins with the Yarnbombing Group in a celebration of the heritage of textiles in Mountmellick. Enjoy a night which promises it’ll be a feast for the eye and ear with specially created pieces from both groups on display in the museum, accompanied by song and spoken word from local musicians and town poets.
