For brides who find the wedding process overwhelming and stressful, marrying during the pandemic has possibly been one of the upsides of the last 18 months. For writer and presenter Stefanie Preissner, that was definitely the case.

Preissner married her partner Noel Byrne on 23 July in an intimate ceremony with just 30 guests, and in an outfit that was fabulously unique to her sense of style. She's finally giving fans a glimpse into her big day as she shares photos from the event.

The couple tied the knot in Dublin in a ceremony that was reportedly largely planned by Byrne, a political advisor in Leinster House. Earlier this year Preissner told Evoke, "I want to be married, I don't want to get married", adding that she wanted the event to be "private and just a very small family thing".

Private and family-orientated seems like exactly what she got, as the photos show. That doesn't mean Preissner left out the personal details, however, as she ensured her wedding look was entirely true to her personality and style.

Preissner wore a stunning white A-line dress featuring a satin underskirt overlayed with delicate chiffon embroidered with Swiss dots. It also featured an asymmetric hem, voluminous puff sleeves and a flattering V-shaped bust. She paired it with an elegant white satin short jacket that fastened at the front and featured a slight peplum detail at the hem.

But it was her footwear that really caught our eye, as the writer chose a pair of Adidas trainers to complete her look. The writer chose a pair of classic Stan Smiths in white with a black stripe, which provided the perfect contrast to her sweet and romantic look.

Her hair was worn in soft curls that framed her face, while her makeup was minimal and classic, with plenty of rosy blush and eyeliner to define her eyes.

Alongside the photos Preissner wrote, "We did it! And it was lovely." Her post was flooded with well wishes from friends and followers, including some famous faces. Roz Purcell wrote, "so happy for you both!" while Síle Seoige wrote, "Huge congrats guys!! Gorgeous photos".

Speaking to The Independent about her big day, Preissner said, "My priority is home and family. The fact I can gather together all the people I love and who love me to show them that I am introducing a new person to my family and for Noel to introduce me to his family is what our wedding is all about.

"This is like the release of a pressure cooker of 18 months of restrictions, lockdowns and loss — it has rejuvenated us all."
