The application deadline is Sunday, June 20th.

Model, influencer and former Love Island star Maura Higgins is coming to Irish screens this Autumn as the host of Glow Up: Ireland's Next Make-Up Star, the brand new Irish version of the beloved international show.

The fleeky competition will see 10 of Ireland’s best amateur make-up artists (MUAs) as they attempt to contour, conceal and bake their way through a range of assignments that will show off their technical know-how and artistic skills.

Each episode will have two themed challenges - a professional brief and a creative brief. The professional brief will involve a guest judge and will be based on the work of professional make-up artists such as red carpet, catwalk, editorial, movie prosthetics, drag and advertising. The creative brief will, as the name suggests, test the creativity and interpretation skills.

Throughout the series, our MUAs will be tasked with creating jaw-dropping transformations and will take part in fabulous 'face-offs' before one of the 10 is crowned as Ireland's Next Make-Up Star, earning themselves an opportunity to further their professional career.

Speaking on her new presenting role, Maura said: "I'm so excited to be the presenter of the first ever Glow Up Ireland. Having watched the last few series of the show in the UK this is such an amazing opportunity and the fact that this is my first presenting job and it's in Ireland is so overwhelming. It's such a pinch me moment to be doing this back in my home country. I actually can’t believe it."

RTÉ and Indiepics are currently seeking applications for make up artists to take part. The deadline is Sunday, June 20th so get in touch immediately! Email glowup@indiepics.ie for more information.
