The BAFTA TV Awards, also known as the British Academy Television Awards, are taking place tonight with a star-studded line up attending this year's event both in person and virtually.
Maynooth actor Paul Mescal is nominated in the Leading Actor category for his role in Normal People while Galway actress Nicola Coghlan is nominated for Must See TV Moment thanks to the revelatory moment her character, Penelope Featherington, had in the final episode of Bridgerton.
Other nominees attending the ceremony at Television Centre in west London include Michaela Coel of I Will Destroy You fame and Billie Piper for her role on I Hate Suzie.
