Kate Middleton has made her first public appearance since the death of Prince Philip, looking striking in a black ensemble as the family continues to mourn his passing.
It's been a busy couple of weeks for the royal family as they mourned the loss of the family's patriarch, and in their first appearance since that event, Prince William and Kate Middleton seemed to be still in mourning.
In a visit to the RAF Cadets Squadron in East London, the couple honoured Prince Philip as they learned how the Air Cadets support young people in developing vital life skills. Philip was a lifelong aviation enthusiast, something he has seemingly passed down to his family members.
The Duchess of Cambridge made a grand appearance wearing a black designer coat, to show how she is still in mourning. For the occasion, the Duchess chose the Collarless Long Coat by Dolce and Gabbana, a striking dress coat in silk and wool and featuring dramatic sculpted design.
Featuring a round neckline, feminine fitted bodice, pleated waist, and front pocket flaps, it's a classically sophisticated design, and one which is very often sold out. Simple gold buttons accented the front, adding a dose of glamour to an otherwise simple and elegant piece.
Kate first wore the piece for Remembrance Sunday in 2017, when she paired it with a dramatic black headpiece.
This time, she dressed it down somewhat, pairing it with black suede block heel pumps by Tod's and her Bayswater Clutch by Mulberry, a simple black leather clutch.
She accented her look with the Silver Jubilee Diamond and Pearl Earrings, a pair of dazzling pearl drop earrings loaned to her by the Queen, making for a sweet nod to the Queen on what was her birthday.
Keeping her look pared back and simple, Kate styled her hair in a long and sleek blow dry, her auburn hair gently curled at the ends. Her makeup was light and fresh, with peachy blush and a nude lipstick keeping it looking spring-ready.
