Princess Charlene of Monaco has always been one of the most unique and bold royals.
The former Olympic swimmer married Monaco's Prince Albert in 2011 and quickly emerged as one of the most daring royal figures when it comes to fashion. And her latest hair style proves that tenfold.
The dazzling princess is known for her trademark short cropped blonde style, often worn pushed off her face in an elegant quiff. Pared with her penchant for sharp tailoring, modern designs and towering heels, she is undoubtedly a fierce fashion icon.
But her latest look is dividing royal fans. While the rest of us were contemplating curtain bangs or giving ourselves an at-home trim, Charlene has gone a few steps further.
The princess – who has been rocking a sleek platinum blonde bob and baby bangs for the last few months – debuted a punky half-shaved look, with the left side of her dark blonde locks sheered off over her ear, an undercut and a choppy fringe adding even more edge.
Charlene showed off her new look as she joined her husband at a Christmas gift donation event in Monaco this week. The princess beamed at the young children over her mask as she doled out gifts and posed for photos, though earlier in the day she had hidden her cut under a black beret.
She matched it with an equally daring ensemble, rocking a long black and gold printed coat in a trendy voluminous silhouette featuring wide sleeves. The thick "coatigan" – cardigan coat – was by firm favourite Dior and was covered with eye-catching prints from Dior's past collections. The cropped sleeves and collarless design made for an extremely contemporary Christmas look.
She paired this with a chunky black textured turtleneck with flecks of glitter throughout and a dazzling gold sequin protective face mask.
She accessorised her look with striking spiral gold earrings that curved around her ears, as well as one diamond stud in her other ear piercing. Going full glam, Charlene added the oomph to her festive look with a smokey blue eyeshadow look, with a flick of black eyeliner and lashings of black mascara.
