It's been a whistle-stop tour like no other and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge closes their 'mini tour' in style with a rare photo call with the Queen at Windsor Castle.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hit their tribute tour at full speed, traveling the UK on the Royal Train first used by Queen Victoria. The couple have taken on the tour to celebrate frontline workers around the country, and kicked it off at bustling Euston train station on Sunday.

The couple traveled the country visiting England, Scotland, and Wales "to pay tribute to the inspiring work of individuals and organisations that have gone above and beyond to support communities during this incredibly challenging year for the nation", they announced on their Instagram page.

And their final stop was a rare photo call with the Queen herself. Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne and and the Earl and Countess of Wessex joined the photo call, making it the first time the Queen has been photographed with her son and other senior members of the royal family since before the pandemic.

The royals spent time after the photo to chat to frontline workers in a marquee set up on the grounds.

For the glamorous occasion, Kate put her style savviness forward by rewearing a Catherine Walker coat, this time reworked with a faux fur trim. The striking long-line, double-breasted coat is a rich emerald green and features contrasting black and silver buttons.

If the coat looks familiar, there's a good reason for it: it was one of the dazzling outfits Kate wore while on her trip to Ireland this March. However, it's gotten a bit of a festive update.

Showing her keen eye for trends, the Duchess added the Faux Fur Lapel Collar in a deep forest green by Troy London. Adding a fur trim is one of the easiest ways to give a coat a new lease on life, and looks incredibly festive this time of year.

Kate added a simple black and gold clutch bag by Alexander McQueen and her Ralph Lauren black suede knee-high boots, and added some sparkle with the Queen's Diamond Frame Earrings, a classic pair of drop earrings.
