It might not be their most extravagant royal tour, but Prince William and Kate Middleton are making the most of their three-day mini tour when it comes to dressing up.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have hit their latest tour at full speed, as they travel the UK on their mini "tribute tour". The couple have taken on the tour to celebrate frontline workers around the country, and kicked it off at bustling Euston train station on Sunday.
The couple will travel the country on the Royal Train visiting England, Scotland, and Wales "to pay tribute to the inspiring work of individuals and organisations that have gone above and beyond to support communities during this incredibly challenging year for the nation", they announced on their Instagram page.
After visiting Edinburgh, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Batley and Manchester on Monday, the couple pulled into Cardiff, visiting Cardiff Castle where they heard stories from university students about studying during a pandemic and the effect it can have on mental health.
While at the castle, the couple dove right into the festivities, stopping by a Toast Your Own Marshmallow stall where they tucked into some gooey marshmallows.
Making a statement in scarlet red, Kate rewore her Alexander McQueen long-line coat. Featuring a snug double-breasted front, contrasting black buttons and structured shoulders, the coat is bright and bold – perfect for a brisk December morning.
Adding to her already festive look, the Duchess paired it with a fabulous red tartan midi skirt by Emilia Wickstead, which we first saw her wear while hosting a Christmas party at Kensington Palace in 2018. The flowing pleated skirt features a tartan pattern in red, black and cream and a smart belted waistband.
Kate matched her skirt to her scarf by wrapping a coordinating scarf around her shoulders, the ends accented with tiny black tassels. She finished her look with a simple black turtle neck jumper, her Ralph Lauren black suede boots and a pair of black leather gloves to keep out the cold.
She accesorised with a pair of simple gold geometric hoops by Welsh brand Spells of Love and her black leather handbag by Strathberry. Her hair was pulled back into a half-up, half-down twist, and her makeup was kept fresh and simple.
