It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, if Kate Middleton's latest look is anything to go by.

The elegant royal always dresses to a theme, and as she began her "tribute tour" of the UK with husband Prince William, Kate looked festive and fabulous.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to Euston Station in London yesterday to salute the transport workers, on the first day of their three-day tour of the UK. The couple have taken on the tour to celebrate frontline workers around the country, and kicked it off at the bustling train station.

The couple will travel the country on the Royal Train visiting England, Scotland, and Wales "to pay tribute to the inspiring work of individuals and organisations that have gone above and beyond to support communities during this incredibly challenging year for the nation", they announced on their Instagram page.

Making sure their tour brings with it a burst of joy and Love Actually-esque kitsch, the couple were treated to a performance by Shakin' Stevens, who sang his 80s hit Merry Christmas Everyone to the commuters.

Although it sounds like Kate and William will be traveling in a much cushier settings, as the Royal Train has been in use since Queen Victoria's time, the train is actually quite understated on the inside with single beds and baths instead of showers.

Dressing to impress, Kate rewore her striking khaki green custom Alexander McQueen coat dress, which she has worn multiple times this year already. Clearly a firm favourite, the dramatic coat features a high collar, flap pockets on the chest, a chic fitted bodice with darts and a long column skirt.

The coat was one of the outfits the Duchess wore while on a visit to Ireland in March, when she wore it for the couple's visit to Galway.

As on that trip, Kate paired the coat with knee-high black suede boots by Ralph Lauren, with a stiletto heel and pointed toe, adding to the streamlined look. She also wore her black Grace Han Love Letter Top-Handled Bag, a striking rounded handbag.

She added some festive flair to her look with her Maple Leaf Tartan scarf, a charming scarf in red and green by York Scarves. Finally, she wore another floral face mask by Amaia and a pair of gold and pearl drop earrings.

The Duchess wore her hair down and in a curly blow dry, with her makeup soft and smokey.
