There may be just over three months to Christmas, but it looks like Kate Middleton is getting a jump on festive fashion.

With the days getting colder and darker, the Duchess of Cambridge is embracing the changing seasons through her wardrobe as always. Always one to stun with a well-chosen statement coat, Kate is once again dazzling with her winter wardrobe.

Kate and a panel of judges had selected 100 images from more than 31,000 entries for Hold Still digital exhibition, and met with some of the finalists with her husband Prince William yesterday.

They also visited St. Bartholomew's Hospital, where they met Joyce Duah, who submitted one of the photos, and other frontline healthcare workers who spoke about what they sought to capture in the photo campaign.

The Duchess looked striking in a bright crimson coat by Alexander McQueen, one of her favourite designers. The full-length column coat featured a double breasted button-up front, peak lapels, contrasting black buttons and front flap pockets on the hips. Cinched at the waist, it was an elegant and sophisticated statement coat.

Layered under her coat, Kate wore a simple black pleated midi skirt in a flowing lightweight material by Massimo Dutti, a current favourite of the Duchess's. The Pleated Skirt with Buckle Detail featured a delicate belt with metal buckle to cinch in the waist.

She paired this with a plain white top and a striking new handbag: the Grace Han Love Letter Small Top Handle Bag. The elegant black leather bag features an envelope-inspired closure, as a nod to the love letters of the past, a rounded shape and subtle gold hardwear accents.

Kate added her favourite black suede Piper 85 Pumps by Gianvito Rossi and her yellow floral protective face mask by Amaia Kids.

To dress up her outfit more, Kate wore the Gold/Diamond Luxury Maxi Cupid Hoop Earrings by Daniella Draper, a delicate and feminine pair featuring an uneven hoop studded with three rectangular diamonds each.

Kate wore her long hair in a loosely curled blow dry and her makeup was kept warm and tonal, with a subtle brown smokey eye accented with cat-eye eyeliner and lashings of black mascara.
