We're all looking forward to a fresh haircut, maybe a few highlights, a new colour, but few of us are overhauling our look as much as Kim Kardashian has done while in lockdown.

The star has refused to let staying home slow down her creativity, and has turned out editorial-worthy outfits for weeks now. Last night, however, Kim debuted her fiercest look yet: a monochrome outfit that perfectly matched her hair.

Her newly red-hot locks served as inspiration for the outfit: a three piece ensemble featuring a one-sleeved crop top and a soft belt that crossed over her waist and flowed down to the ground, both by Rick Owens, and a pair of glossy leather trousers by Helmut Lang.

Sticking to the vague cowgirl theme of her recent outfits, the star finished her look with a pair of dark oversized glasses and white snakeskin boots.

Kim pulled the look together with peachy makeup, including an apricot-toned nude lip, subtle shimmer on her eyes and fresh peachy blush.

Although Kim – like many of her siblings – often uses wigs to change up a look, her fiery tresses are her own, as she told her Instagram followers, so it's no wonder she's making the most of them while she can.

Only a few days before, Kim rocked another all-red ensemble while celebrating sister Khloe's birthday at her mansion. This time, the star wore a pair of eye-catching scarf-print trousers, pairing them with the matching printed handbag.

The striking photos were snapped by photographer Amber Asaly, who has become a favourite of the Kardashian clan, shooting looks for Kylie Jenner in the past few months.

To pull the outfit together, Kim donned a sweet scarlet cardigan, buttoned at the bust but left open at the waist. This time, her hair was pulled into a tight, high ponytail, with two wisps pulled out at the front – serious Spice Girls vibes.

And although the bright shade is a little daring for some of us, we can totally get behind the monochrome looks.

Whether you're blonde looking glamorous in gold and soft beige tone or a brunette in rich, chocolatey browns, matching your outfits to your hair is an easy way to create a tonal and elegant outfit, and very on trend this year.
