They may already have two multimillionaire beauty moguls in their mist, but the Kardashian clan aren't done cornering the market as Kanye West, Kim Kardashian's husband, plans to launch his own beauty line.

The billionaire rapper is planning to expand his hugely successful Yeezy fashion brand to include beauty products, as well as lifestyle and wellness ones.

West has filed a trademark for Yeezy Beauty, which will include makeup, fake eyelashes, face masks, toothpaste, perfume, deodorant, nail polishes, moisturisers, body oils, shaving creams, bath gels, haircare products, scented pinecones and aromatherapy pillows, according to TMZ.

West is already an established and well-respected designer and business owner, as his Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers have become emblematic of a kind of upmarket athleisure style.

His designs favour uniform and muted colours, futuristic tailoring and streamlined silhouettes, and the star has been presenting collections at Paris Fashion Week since 2012, when he showed his line Dw.

Yeezy Season 1 first showed at New York Fashion week in 2015. West brought his Yeezy Season 8 to Paris Fashion Week in March 2020.

The Kardashians have made multiple forays into the beauty world in almost 15 years of fame, with Kim, Kourtney and Khloe collaborating on a makeup line called Khroma Beauty. The ill-fated brand lasted just about a year before being renamed Kardashian Beauty amid numerous lawsuits from similarly named companies.

They've also created a successful haircare line, as well as a styling tool that won an Allure Best of Beauty award. However, it wasn't until Kylie Jenner capitalised on rumours of whether or not she had lip injections by releasing her lipstick kits.

Kylie Cosmetics was launched in 2016 and was so popular, it broke Google Analytics. Driven largely by promotion on social media – where Kylie currently has 181 million Instagram followers – the brand has expanded to include eyeshadow palettes, blushes and highlighters, while Kylie Skin produces skin care products.

In November 2019, Kylie reached a significant deal with beauty giant Coty when she sold a majority share of her company for $1.2bn (£948bn).

Never one to be outdone, Kim launched her own beauty brand shortly after, calling it KKW Beauty and specialising in the product that arguably gave her her signature look: contour. Starting with cream contouring products, the brand now includes lipsticks, eyeshadows and highlighters.

Kim also produces a range of fragrances that were so popular, she sold $10 million worth of perfume in a day.

Both brands have proven hugely successful, and have been featured in many of the prestigious high-fashion magazines and in editorials.
