Trinny Woodall, the celebrity stylist and owner of esteemed makeup brand Trinny London, has dipped her toe into the world of DIY beauty, and if you were thinking of doing the same, the bright yellow banner reading "Do not try this at home" on her tutorial should give you an answer.
Like many of us, Trinny's been using this time to grow out her lashes, letting them get to a healthy length without the strain of extensions, but felt they were a little pale. Having tinted her own lashes many times in the past, she thought it was time to take matters into her own hands.
Using Mylee Eyelash Tint in black, Trinny gave dyeing her lashes and brows the old college try. The tint comes with a glass jar for mixing and an activator, as well as some simple instructions.
All you need is some Vaseline and cotton wool – the two things beauty maverick Trinny seems to be out of.
Instead of putting the Vaseline under and below her eyes as per the instructions, Trinny uses Anna, her brands lip treatment, and without any cotton wool close to hand, the star rips up a dog's nappy – for her pup Lily – placing strips under her eyes.
Never one to shy away from a ridiculous shot of herself with something questionable on her face, Trinny owns the beauty DIY look, though she soon runs into difficulty. "What I'm concerned about is it says keep my eyes closed", she tells the camera. "So I don't know how I'm going to do my eyes and know what I'm doing. 'Keep your eyes closed and apply the product'. I mean, really?"

"Oh my god, I just feel this is gonna go so wrong", she mumbles at one point, like a character in a Greek play. "I just have a bad feeling."
Painting the lash dye on with a spoolie, Trinny instantly gets the product in and on her eyes, before wiping it off with the "rotting, bloody nappy", now damped instead of say, a towel or muslin cloth. "My god, that was quite desperate", she says, and, look, same.
Amazingly, her lashes turn out looking wonderful, and when she quickly uses the same tint to dye her brows – cleverly alternating short coats of product and wiping it off again to layer up colour – she looks polished and wide-eyed once again.
"Is it worth doing at home?" she asks. "It's a bit of a faff ... but, yeah, I might do it again."
