We know her for her glamorous ballgowns, chic garden party dresses and date night looks, but Kate Middleton is a pro at mixing practicality .
The Duchess of Cambridge, who is just as frequently spotted in jeans and boots as she is in custom Alexander McQueen gowns, showed off her take on athleisure while on a visit to the London Stadium at the Olympic Park in Stratford, where she wowed in a sporty monochrome green outfit.
Monochrome is a strong trend for spring, with shades of the same colour layered to create a vibrant and modern look. Adding in different textures brings the outfit alive even more, and Kate has shown time and again how dressing all in one colour can make you look polished, cool and casual.
Continuing her love affair with culottes, the silhouette of the season, Kate donned a forest green pair from Zara, matching it to her green ribbed round-neck jumper from Mango (€25.99).
Keeping the green theme strong, she paired it with white trainers accented with green and cream ribbons from Marks & Spencer (€42) and a chic navy blazer, aptly named the Duchess Wool Blazer, by Smythe (€675).
Once on the running track, however, the blazer was whipped off and her long blow-dried curls pulled back into a ponytail as she sprinted alongside Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill and parasprinter Emmanuel Oyinbo-Coker.
Still, she brought a touch of glamour to the track, as she accessorised her look with her 'Siren' Green Onyx Earrings ($175) by Monica Vinader and her gold necklace by Daniella Draper engraved with "GCL", the initials of her three children, George, Charlotte and Louis.
