While much of the world turns to Instagram influencers, A-list celebs and the runways of Paris Fashion Week to keep up to date with trends, many more are now turning to Kate Middleton who – after overhauling her look in recent years – has become even more of a trendsetter.

In a slew of recent appearances around the UK, the Duchess of Cambridge showed her keen eye for fashion, looking sleek and elegant in two 70's-inspired outfits.

Following on from her glamorous scarlet outfit on Tuesday, which saw her debut a sultry wavy blow-out, Kate visited a number of organisations around the UK and Wales as part of the launch of her new initiative, 5 Big Questions on the Under 5s, wearing two covetable looks.

Kicking off in Birmingham, Kate dropped by the Thinktank Museum wearing a striking navy, green and turquoise chevron-print blouse by Tabitha Webb. The silk Pansy Pussybow blouse costs £295 (roughly €350) and featured slightly structured shoulders, fitted cuffs and a delicate pussybow at the neck.

She paired it with Sport Luxe Jersey Wise Leg Trouser by Jigsaw in deep navy, offering a chic alternative to the usual black option we reach for these days!

Kate accessorised with a pair of Emmy London Josie Midnight block heels, her Monica Vinder Siren Wire Earrings in Green Onyx and the Maya Torque Aquamarine and Gold Bangle by Halcyon Days.

Next, Kate traveled to Cardiff, Wales where she attended a baby sensory class. Stepping out in a stunning Massimo Dutti double breasted coat (£349, roughly €413), worn over a dark leopard print midi skirt by Zara (£39.99, roughly €47), slouchy suede boots by Ralph Lauren and a simple black polo neck jumper, the Duchess looked cosy and chic.
