After six weeks out of the limelight following an intense year of personal highs and lows, not to mention public scrutiny, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were all smiles as they returned to their royal duties.

The couple met with Janice Charette, High Commissioner in Canada to the UK, and her staff to thank them for the support they received during their stay in the country.

When she was last seen in public Meghan donned funeral black for the Remembrance Day celebrations in November, so her shimmering and cheery monochrome bronze outfit was a delight to see.

Stepping out in a bronze-hued satin midi skirt, matching turtle neck jumper, long camel coat and stunning chocolate brown velvet pumps by Jimmy Choo, it looked like Meghan was back to her fashionable best.

Harry, meanwhile, looked classic in a neatly tailored navy suit and black shoes.
