One of the most stylish and empowering events of the New York City calendar, the Glamour Magazine Awards took place last night in typical, well, glamorous fashion.
Irish presenter Laura Whitmore was among the stars dazzling on the red carpet, including Jane Fonda, Charlize Theron, Margaret Atwood and Megan Rapinoe, and she certainly flew the flag for Irish glamour.

The presenter stunned in a full-lengthh long-sleeved, gold sequin dress by Galvan London, a luxury evening wear brand known for their flattering and modern take on formal dressing. With a very low-cut back and high neckline, the dress was equal parts elegant and sexy – and officially our outfit inspo for New Year's!
Given that it was the Glamour Awards, Whitmore didn't hold back, pairing her breathtaking gown with a shimmering silver clutch by Anya Hindmarch that reminded her of a "packet of crisps" and a pair of peep-toe black heels by Christian Louboutin.
As for her hair, the star went for a modern take on Hollywood curls, with her golden locks styled into loose waves and slicked behind one ear. Finishing off her look with a bold red lip (Uncensored by Fenty) and a flick of eyeliner, she looked every inch the glamorous star.
Whitmore partied the night away with fellow Irishwoman abroad, Samantha Barry, who took over as Editor in Chief of Glamour in 2018.
The night saw empowering speeches and stories from stars such as Busy Philips who spoke about abortion and Jane Fonda who spoke of how Greta Thunberg inspired her to keep advocating against climate change.
