With one Duchess in London and the other in Pakistan, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle were worlds apart as they continued their royal duties, but managed to match their outfits, whether by accident or design.

As both have a keen fashion sense, it's unsurprising the royal sisters-in-law put their own spin on what's looking like the chicest shade of the season - deep forest green.

While on a royal tour of Pakistan, Kate stepped out in a truly glamorous green gown for a reception hosted by the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, honouring the nation's flag with her choice of colour.

The glittering full-length dress by Jenny Packham, covered from neck to toe with sequins and paired with a matching long scarf, managed to steal the focus from the Duchess's arrival in a brightly painted tuk-tuk. Finished off with a pair of strappy silver heels, statement earrings by London-based brand O'nitaa and her hair in a sleek half-up hairstyle, the Duchess was a vision.

Even Prince William got in on the coordinating, wearing a deep green sherwani by Naushemian for the occasion.

Meanwhile, back home, Meghan and Prince Harry attended the WellChild Awards, an organisation that honours seriously ill children and those who care for them, and one of the charities the couple asked well-wishers to send donations to in lieu of gifts after announcing their pregnancy.

Meghan upped the glamour stakes at the star-studded event at London's Royal Lancaster Hotel, re-wearing the forest green dress from Italian brand P.A.R.O.S.H., which she wore in 2017 for her engagement photos and interview with Prince Harry.

While on that occasion she kept her look fresh with a light cream coat, last night she dressed for the season, pairing her green gúna with rich neutrals and interesting textures, such as a long camel coat (costing €1,355.89) from Sentaler draped over her shoulders.

Paired with Manolo Blahnik brown suede heels (€582) and a stunning tortoiseshell bag featuring a scarf handle from Montunas (£425), she looked elegant and on-trend.
