IFTA-winning actress, author and style icon Amy Huberman was in studio with Ray D'Arcy on RTÉ Radio 1 to discuss International Day of the Girl, her new shoe collection and upcoming projects. Watch it back above.
As one of Ireland's leading style icons, Amy Huberman has spent a number of years collaborating with brands including Bourbon footwear and Newbridge Silverware, creating a host of coveted accessories. While speaking with Ray - and while wearing a pair of pink Coyote Ugly boots - the designer discussed her seventh collection of shoes, all of which have been named after her favourite movies.
"This is going into our seventh year, which I can't believe. These are called Coyote Ugly but we're going to have to start going into sequels and prequels and everything at this stage because there's a lot in the collection and it's been seven years of two collections a year," she told Ray.
Aside from boots and jewellery, the Cabinteely woman has also dabbled in t-shirts.
Last year, during the bread-obsessed time of Storm Emma, the Can't Cope, Won't Cope star virtually crossed paths with Irish t-shirt company Hairy Baby, after she posted a tweet saying: "Can someone please start making "Irish Born and Bread" t-shirts for Paddy's Day please?"

Hairy Baby were only too happy to oblige and, within no time at all, the two had collaborated on a charitable t-shirt that saw all proceeds donated to Focus Ireland in order to raise money for the homeless.
Pls RT. So after my tweet earlier re #stormemma & #breadgate about the T-shirts myself & @HairyBabyTees quickly came together & we now have this just in time for Paddy's Day with ALL PROFITS going to @FocusIreland ☘️Help us raise money for the homeless💚 https://t.co/GAgCI9Bjw7 pic.twitter.com/uIcew3G6P7

Following on from the success of that 'chari-tee', Huberman once again joined up with the Cork-based business to create 'This Cailín Can’ t-shirts, totes, and hoodies with all proceeds going to Plan International to support the UN's International Day of the Girl Child on October 11th.
The Finding Joy star told Ray that profits from the Irish made items would go towards supporting girls who are struggling in developing countries.
"I'm an ambassador for Plan International Ireland and it's the UN International Day of the Girl Child next month. So for the month of October, we're doing a chari-tee. They're on sale on HairyBaby.com and all of the profits will go to Plan International and all the work that they do.
"It's highlighting International Day of the Girl and they work in a lot of the poorest countries around the world and, unfortunately, there are still so many barriers and injustices facing young girls. If you're a girl in the developing world, you're much more likely to live in extreme poverty and be denied education. A lot of girls are forced into marriage when they're still children."
Elsewhere in the interview, Amy and Ray discuss the possibility of Finding Joy series two, Amy's father's Parkinson's Disease and Irish women's success in comedy. Listen back above.
