As the Duchess of Sussex and one of the most scrutinised members of the Royal Family, Meghan Markle shoulders a lot of pressure when it comes to how she dresses, but day after day on her royal tour of South Africa she's proven that she isn't making sacrifices when it comes to her personal style.

Having championed an African designer on her first day in a DNA-patterned dress, broken new ground (comparatively insignificant as this is) with a classic denim jacket and wowed in a sheer dress while meeting Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Meghan has been enthralling fans with her fashion sense.

And on one of her last engagements in Cape Town, the Duchess stunned once more, wearing a stunning monochrome midi skirt and sleeveless top to meet women leaders in the capital city.

The former actress and long-time activist was attending a breakfast meeting with leaders to discuss the epidemic of gender-based violence in the country.

Her understated look was striking in its simplicity, pairing a knitted white J.Crew midi skirt, crisscrossed with black stripes to create the illusion of pleats, a very modern take on a classic look. The A-line silhouette was incredibly flattering and regal, and paired perfectly with Meghan's elegant black sleeveless top.

The skirt, which costs €155.20, has unfortunately already sold out on the brand's website. Still, monochrome is a classic look and easy to replicate in many ways.

Meghan's makeup, meanwhile, was characteristically fresh and natural, wearing just a touch of mascara, soft blush and a light pink lipstick. Her hair was styled in long, relaxed waves that framed her face.
