Markle announced a five-piece capsule fashion collection called "The Smart Set".

Today, Meghan Markle launched "The Smart Set", a capsule wardrobe produced with Smart Works in partnership with Jigsaw, John Lewis & Partners, Marks & Spencer, and Misha Nonoo.

Smart Works, a charity that provides clothing and coaching for unemployed women with interviews, will equip their clients with this fashion line - comprised of classic wardrobe pieces - to "help them feel confident as they mobilise back into the workspace".

Revealing her latest venture via the Duke and Duchess' official Instagram account, Sussex Royal, Meghan explained that since moving to the UK, she has planned on working with communities on a number of meaningful projects in order to help them "amplify their impact".

Furthermore, she congratulated the four fashion brands - Jigsaw, John Lewis, Marks and Spencers, and Misha Nonoo - for involving themselves in such a worthy project and thanked them for placing "purpose over profit".

You can read her caption in full below:

"Since moving to the UK, it has been deeply important to me to meet with communities and organisations on the ground doing meaningful work and to try to do whatever I can to help them amplify their impact. It was just last September that we launched the 'Together' cookbook with the women of the Hubb Kitchen in Grenfell.

"Today, a year later, I am excited to celebrate the launch of another initiative of women supporting women, and communities working together for the greater good. Thank you to the four brands who came together in supporting Smart Works on this special project - placing purpose over profit and community over competition.

"In convening several companies rather than one, we've demonstrated how we can work collectively to empower each other - another layer to this communal success story, that I am so proud to be a part of"

The former Suits actress is well known for her beautiful sense of style and has various ties to the fashion industry.

In December 2011, she made a surprise appearance at the Fashion Awards in London so as to honour fashion designer Clare Waight Keller - the woman who designed Meghan's own wedding dress - and who brought home the title of 'British Designer of the Year Womenswear' for Givenchy.

Additionally, earlier this Summer, she acted as guest editor of British Vogue in order to create a cover that celebrated fifteen remarkable women, including our own Sinead Burke. Markle and British Vogue Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful used the cover to highlight their list of changemakers in fashion, culture and politics, calling the women and the issue "Forces of Change".

"The Smart Set" collection - which we have no doubt will be sleek and chic as the Duchess herself - will feature a shirt, trousers, blazer, dress and tote bag.

The collection will be on sale for two weeks starting today, with the objective of selling enough units to give Smart Works the essentials they need to help dress clients for the coming year. For every item bought during the sale of the collection, one will be donated to Smart Works.
