Earlier today, RTÉ 2FM launched its brand new schedule with the help of its talented new line up of presenters.

Posing on the roof of The Devlin Hotel in Ranelagh, the 2FM team looked especially stylish in pink playsuits, neon co-ords and monochrome suits.

These Instagram-worthy ensembles got us thinking - what would the team's predecessors have worn to such an event?

Thankfully, we didn't have to wonder for long because the RTÉ Archives have diligently recorded the national broadcaster's radio presenters in detail throughout the years, thus providing endless style inspiration.

From the mullets and mustaches of the 1980s to the double denim ensembles of the 1990s, the station has hosted some truly iconic looks.
