Long after the craze of awards season has subsided and the glitzy gowns and embroidered bibs have been returned, the Olivier Awards provide a much-needed dose of glamour and red-carpet drama into our lives.
As the biggest night in British theatre, the Olivier Awards recognise excellence in professional theatre and are awarded by the Society of London Theatre.
The dazzling ceremony took place in London's Royal Albert Hall on Sunday evening, and saw the likes of Waitress star Katherine McPhee, Tom Hiddleson and Gillian Anderson walk the red carpet.
Typically of the night, the fashion on display was considerably more daring, such as Grayson Perry's incredible embroidered cape-and-platform-heels ensemble, or McPhee's scarlet lace-embellished gown that almost stole the show.
