The first ever transgender lingerie brand debuted in London with a fashion show from designer Carmen Liu’s GI Collection – aimed exclusively at, and exclusively featuring, transgender women.

Liu, a transgender woman herself, wiped away tears as she posed for the crowds, sporting a set of lingerie from her own range.

"This is my own personal transition," she said, "the lack of products that I couldn’t find during my transition… that’s why I wanted to create something that other trans women could have as well as me."

A crowd of activists, businesses, and influencers was treated to live hair and make-up demonstrations, a pop-up shop, and a fashion runway of models showcasing the brand.

According to the website, GI (Get It) aims to support people in living as their true self in the easiest way possible because there are "countless obstacles to being transgender".
