Dawn O'Porter and Chris O'Dowd are easily one of the entertainment industry's most charming couples. The two married in 2012 with Dawn taking "half his name".

"I am lucky that I have the option to keep Porter prominent and take a tiny letter that, for me, expresses the unity with my husband that I am proud of," she wrote in a piece for Glamour.

Since then, the couple have kept us in the loop of their adorable relationship through social media. For example, the time the pair had to re-enact their proposal after Chris accidentally got down on one knee beside a slaughterhouse...

"This is us, last week, reenacting the moment he proposed. He didn’t realise it, but he’d positioned us just outside the old Guernsey Slaughterhouse. Married 6 years today. Happy anniversary my darling. When I saw you in those Daz adverts, I never imagined you’d be mine," wrote Dawn.

These days, Chris has left the world of Daz adverts behind him to become a leading man, appearing in Hollywood hits such as BridesmaidsMary Poppins Returns, and Juliet, Naked. While TV presenter and author Dawn has found huge success with her recent best-selling novel, The Cows.

On Sunday night, the two reached peak 'relationship goals' when they walked the red carpet of the 91st Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Rather than act aloof and above it all, Dawn did what we all would do in that situation - she Instagrammed every moment.

Below is a step by step guide to preparing and enjoying the Oscars, according to Dawn O'Porter's Instagram account.

1: Mum of 2 wakes up and regrets not booking hair and make up for the OSCARS.

2: She develops a very uncomfortable relationship with a spinning hair dryer thingy.

4. Goes back to basics with some last minute mega rollers.

6: Opt for nude nails as the drying time of anything else is too stressful and she should have done it yesterday.

7: Splodges nails putting lashes on, then worries the lashes are too long.

8: Actually kinda nails makeup?

One thing is for certain, Dawn O'Porter knows how to have a good time... even if she did suffer for it the next morning.

She captioned the above snap: "A sorry sight but no regrets. Just ordered a bagel and cream cheese on post mates. This is a big week for me, high levels of achievement are necessary from my brain and fingers. Books don’t write themselves. Unless there is an App for that, that i don’t know about? Send coffee and crisps."
