If you're looking for outfit inspiration for Valentine's Day, look no further than the Duchess of Cambridge.

Kate Middleton was the English Rose embodied as she attended a gala at the Victoria & Albert Museum last night, wearing a blush pink Gucci gown that managed to be ethereal and sensual at the same time.

While it wasn't a date night for the royal, she looked ready to celebrate Valentine's Day, her full length rose-hued tulle dress, accented by a burgundy velvet tie around the waist, practically screamed romance.

Paired with drop earrings, the look was incredibly romantic. Photo: Getty

Kate continued the romantic theme with her accessories, pairing the ensemble with a matching burgundy velvet clutch, a dazzling pair of £568 Oscar de la Renta pumps and a pair of morganite double drop earrings by Kiki McDonough, which she wore to her sister Pippa Middleton's wedding.

Finished with her hair in Disney-worthy soft curls and fresh, flushed makeup, Kate may have achieved peak fairy tale perfection.

In fact, as she was joining female leaders for the annual 100 Women in Finance event, she may have been giving us a new Galentine's Day standard to strive for.

The Duchess gave a speech during the gala, commending the work of the women present and calling the initiative "inspiring".
