You may have wondered why Saoirse Ronan was missing from this year's Met Gala... after all, in 2016, the Oscar nominee made a show-stopping appearance on the red carpet wearing a custom Christopher Kane gown with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and an Anna Hu brooch to the costume ball.

Well, it seems that the 24-year-old is busy working in the UK. Saoirse was spotted leaving BBC Radio 1 where she attended an interview to promote her new movie, On Chesil Beach.
Based on Ian McEwan's novel and set in 1960's England, it seems that the actress has gone method while promoting the movie by wearing a very sixties inspired ensemble.

Wearing a bright pink floral shirt with matching flared trousers and platform black sandals, Saoirse was bringing some major retro vibes to London.
The Carlow native also took some time to speak with Glenda Gilson while in London, wearing the same outfit which you can see below.
While her look may be inspired by her latest movie role, fashion fans will know that this isn't the first time the actress has been drawn to the style of the 60's.
While attending the 2018 CinemaCon luncheon in Las Vegas, Saoirse wore floral and flares from UK designer Ashish with a sleek blonde bob and natural make-up.

At the 2018 Film Independent Spirit Awards, the Carlow native shone on the red carpet in a 1960's inspired embellished green Prada dress.

The Oscar nominee attended the European Premiere of On Chesil Beach at the 61st BFI London Film Festival wearing a 60's inspired Alessandra Rich tweed dress.

During the 2018 Golden Globe Awards Season, Saoirse wore a pink fringed mini-dress with retro vibes and black velvet bows.

We can't wait to see what she wears next!
