Irish actress Ruth Negga joined Hollywood's biggest A-listers at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute's annual fundraiser in NYC.
The costume gala, which is renowned for its red carpet fashion, has had some impressive themes throughout the years ranging from 'Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology' to 'Punk: Chaos to Couture'.
This year's theme was 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination' in tribute to Andrew Bolton’s Vatican-inspired fashion exhibition.
From Anna Wintour and Kate Moss to Rihanna and Madonna, the Met Gala guest list could rival that of the Academy Awards - so we were only delighted to see our very own Ruth Negga walking among the stars.

Ruth wore a beautiful white Vuitton gown with backless detail and Brian Atwood shoes.

The Ethiopian-born woman joined the Louis Vuitton crew at the event including; Doona Bae, Jennifer Connelly, Michelle Williams, Emma Stone, Riley Keough, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Alicia Vikander, Laura Harrier, and Justin Theroux. Talk about squad goals

Ruth wasn't the only Irish lady working the red carpet - blogger and Teen Vogue social media guru, Michaela O'Shaughnessy attended the costume ball wearing a Theia Couture dress by Don O'Neill.
