Between contouring, strobing, highlighting and bronzing - makeup trends can be hard to keep up with. We sat down with Brown Thomas Beauty Stylist Elena Costello to get the low down on her favourite products for the season ahead.
Whether you're on the lookout for a fabulous facemask, luscious lipstick or skin saviour, Elena has got you covered. Watch our interview in the video above.
Smokey Eye
"If you're like me and you love a smokey eye then you need the Dolce Vita palette from Charlotte Tilbury in your life. You've got everything from a gorgeous warm brown to a cooler tone which is going to give you definition.
"The beautiful highlight has a pearly sheen and it's really going to accentuate the eyes - apply that underneath your brow bone and as well on the inner corner of the eye to make your eyes pop. To finish off the look, a gorgeous gold that's really going to shimmer in the light."

Lovely Lipstick
"Pops of pink have been huge all over the catwalk this season. I've gone for a gorgeous wearable shade by Tom Ford.
"It's blush nude - my all-time favourite nude. It's gorgeous for brides, for everyday or that night out if you want to pair it with a smokey eye."

Fab Foundation
"My all-time favourite foundation is Sheer Glow by Nars.
"I love it so much because it has skincare properties so it has turmeric which actually balances out redness on the skin, it's got glycerine which actually draws moisture into the skin so it's super hydrating and vitamin A, C and E to brighten the skin - absolutely fab."

Skin Saviours
"I always recommend to my clients to change their skin care with their weather, particularly at this time of year an oil based product works really well.
"Starting with a cleanser, this product from Bare Minerals is my absolute essential, it's called obsessed so what it's going to do is, it's going to break down any dirt and debris that's sitting on the skin.
"Add a little splash of water and it turns into a milk so it's super nourishing on the skin."

"Another favourite of mine is the renewal oil from La Mer. This is a bi-phase product [...] so we say, 'you shake it to wake it'. The miracle broth, which La Mer is well known for, is sitting at the bottom so when you shake it, it releases it out through the oil.
"Amazing for dropping into a moisturiser, using straight onto the skin and it is so gorgeous after a shower."

"Another favourite of mine is the Sisley Black Rose Mask, this will plump your skin, nourish, and it will just leave it feeling absolutely divine.
"Amazing for any time of year but particularly at this time of year when our skin is feeling that little bit more dehydrated."

Top Picks
"This guy is packed full of vitamin C - absolutely amazing for anti-aging properties but also for brightening the skin. Really, really nice for under makeup, nice and lightweight, will soak into the skin quite quickly."

Skin draping
"Skin draping is using different colours of blush to create dimension on the skin so it's actually a really nice, soft, way to create that chiseled look."

Super SPF
"We have one from Chanel, Dior and La Mer. Why I've chosen these is actually down to them being anti-pollutants so it's really good if you're working in the city, your skin is exposed to environmental factors."

Face Masks
"Masks that I'm loving at the moment would be everything from clays to sheet masks. In particular, Dr Jarts, a rubber mask so it actually works by causing heat on the skin and it penetrates deeper in so it's really good."

"There's another really amazing brand that we've just launched called 'Too Cool for School' so this is a Korean brand. K beauty has just really taken off in the last couple of months and this one is particularly nice."
