We got chatting to the Garrihy sisters to discuss their style session challenge, their favourite trends of Autumn/Winter 2017 and their love of fashion.
From Thursday, 28th of September to Sunday, 1st of October, Arnotts will be celebrating all things fashion with a series of fashion shows, workshops and masterclasses in their Style Sessions with fashionistas ranging from designer Millie Mackintosh to Irish ladies Aoibhín and Doireann.
The sisters will be challenged to style various items for Autumn/Winter 2017 in a different way, one with a more casual approach and one for a night out.
"Basically, we're going to have a couple of different looks and a similar piece is going to be in each look but we're going to style them in different ways," explained Doireann.
While the sisters may seem joined at the hip, their sense of style will differ greatly on the night.
"For style sessions, I have dressed things up a bit. I was leaning towards the Gannis, the Whistles, Set is another fabulous brand and then Doireann tended to lean towards the denims," explained Aoibhín.
According to Doireann, her job in radio allows her a most comfortable work wardrobe of flats, knits and denim while Aoibhín veers towards a dressier look.
If you're about to set off and do your Winter wardrobe shop, have a listen to Doireann's advice below. The radio presenter says that red is definitely the colour of the season.
I think red is a massive colour for this season which is obviously very convenient for Christmas.
While the sisters like a touch of glitz in their wardrobes, they both insist that their family are all about structured power suits this season.
"As a family, we're very excited about Millie Mackintosh [...], she rocks the power suit like no other and she's going to be here this weekend so we're really, really, excited to see her," said Aoibhín.
Aoibhín and Doireann’s Style Challenge will take place on Thursday, 28th of September from 7pm to 8pm.
