Twenty-six-year-old Emma Watson has been acting since 2001 when she took on the role as Hermione Grainger in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone at the age of eleven.

Since then she has graduated Brown University with a bachelor's degree in English Literature, become a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, started a feminist book club by the name of Our Shared Shelf Group and has recently taken on the role of Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

The British star recently came under scrutiny for posing partially nude for a Vanity Fair photo shoot but the actress has come back fighting as she told co-star Dan Stevens during her Reuteur interview:

“It just always reveals to me how many misconceptions and what a misunderstanding there is about what feminism is.

“Feminism is about giving women choice.

“Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with. It’s about freedom. It’s about liberation. It’s about equality."
