Autumn/Winter 2016: We're Diggin' Ladylike Eclecticism

Brown Thomas showcased its a/w trends in a stunningly diverse fashion show which demonstrated just how varied the themes are for the season ahead.

Brown Thomas Fashion Director Shelly Corkery welcomed fashion's newfound appetite for embellishment and experimentation after last season's relatively minimal, austere leanings.

A host of styles were present and correct at the show, from Grunge to Glamour and everything in between. A sense of femininity imbued many of the collections, but there were many pieces with a androgynous slant, including slouchy hoodies, boiler suits, biker jackets and tailored trousers.

Ruffles, sheer fabrics, winter florals, tiered skirts and midi lengths were popular choices, mixed with flared trousers, knits and over-sized belted coats.

There are some exciting new brands which have been added into the fold, including Maticevski, Ellery, Loewe, Vetements and Proenza Schouler.
