The French fashion house is the first major one to hold a runaway show in Cuba. The cruise collection was presented in an open-air show in Paseo de Prado, one of Havana’s main boulevards dividing Old Havana and Havana.
Karl Lagerfeld's favorite models, including Kendall Jenner, Stella Tennant and Baptiste Giabiconi, took to the catwalk but that's not all. The models also walked amongst the fashionistas and guests including Gisele Bündchen, Chanel No.5 campaign star, and Tilda Swinton.
"It’s a wonderful once in a lifetime invitation to come to Cuba, which is a place I have been wanted to come for years but I never managed to. I never expected to come here with Chanel. Chanel brought me here and I’m very grateful" said Swinton.
The half-hour show ended with an appearance of Karl Lagerfeld wearing a Saint Laurent jacket and with dancing models and musicians.
