The Irish Film and Television Awards took place this evenig at Dublin's Mansion House honouring the the best in Film & Drama. Despite the bitter cold the red carpet fashion did not dissapoint. There was an ambundence of colour with Gemma Leah Deveroux ( Get up and Go ) leading the way. Vintage was common thread Charlie Murphy looking stunning in a Audrey Hepburn inspired outfit. Catriona Balfe ( Outlander ) and Sarah Greene ( Penny Dreadful ) both chose red while Miriam O' Callaghan and Ruth Bradley opted for blue.

Vintage was common theme this year with both Mr & Mrs Geldof, Jeanne Marine wore what she called
"real french vintage" and Bob looked very dapper in a black velvet Mulberry suit which he says he has hadfor 20 years!

Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer and Best Actress nominess Eva Birthistle both opted for UK designer Amanda Wakely complimenting it with a subtle make up look.

The male guests held thier own with Irish stars Liam Neeson, Jack Reynor & Andrew Scott standing out in particular.

Overall the IFTA fashion was braver this year with Irish designers and Irish retail outlets getting plenty of celebtrity support.

Our dress of the night  has to go to Best Costume Designer nominee Triona Lillis ( Klondike ) who wore her own design made from a stunning Donegal tweed. Triona will launch her own label later in the year.
