'Give Up Clothes For Good' is the country's biggest clothes and homewares collection campaign and has raised an amazing €1.6 million for Enable Ireland since 1997.
The fashionista said of launching the campaign: "I was so touched to be asked to be part of ‘Give Up Clothes for Good’, which raises money for Enable Ireland. ‘Give Up Clothes for Good’ is such a fantastic initiative and I urge anybody who is thinking of having a clear out to take their unwanted items down to their local TK Maxx store.
"I gave up one of my favourite dresses and although it was hard to part with, knowing it would directly make a difference to the children that benefit from the services Enable Ireland provide, made parting with the dress a lot easier."
Donating to the campaign couldn't be simpler, just drop off your unwanted clothes, accessories and homewares to special drop off points in TK Maxx stores nationwide, all year round. Donated items will then be sold in Enable Ireland shops, and the money raised goes directly towards funding projects which benefit children and young people with disabilities across the country.
Customers can donate in store using any bag they like, from carrier bags to bin bags. TK Maxx can accept clean clothing, shoes and accessories, ornaments, towels and linen, crockery, cutlery and glassware, books, collectables and antiques, CDs, DVDs and mobile phones.
